Stream Services is all about its people. Which is why we are delighted to introduce Cherie Milgate, Stream Services’ new NDIS Support Coordinator, who has joined the team in Clermont on a permanent basis.
Cherie is one of those authentic, big-hearted people who has the innate ability to sit with people where they’re at and make them comfortable. She comes to us with a huge range of experience, having worked across the NDIS, Aged Care, Child Safety and Mental Health sectors.
This diverse background has given her an insight into and passion for those who fall through the gaps in the system, and who have not had the chance to live the life of potential and fulfilment that they should have.
Cherie is already part of the Stream Services family, having worked as a Lifestyle Support Worker in Emerald, so we jumped at the chance to bring such an empathetic and likeable person onto our team full-time.
A true country girl, Cherie has spent her life in regional and country communities, and holds a special place in her heart for small country communities. She’s excited about settling into Clermont.
“I love living in the country, I’m more at ease here. I love the wide open spaces and the connections you build with people, which you often don’t find in big towns and cities.
I think a lot of people still fall through the cracks in country communities, but there’s so much potential here to deliver better support, and I’m thrilled to be joining an organisation like Stream Services that is doing exactly that. If you’ve got a consistent support network, and you’re a part of your community, it opens up conversations and lets us give better support to those who really need it.”
At Stream Services, it’s really important that our team members don’t just have the right qualification and experience on their resume. They also have to have the right personality, one full of compassion and integrity. And they have to have a genuine passion for community.
Cherie brings all those things together, and we are excited to welcome her into the Stream Services team, as well as into the wonderful Clermont community.
